| Summary, etc. | Chemsex, the voluntary use of psychoactive substances to facilitate, initiate, increase, intensify, or prolong sexual intercourse and performance, often involves multiple substance use. These include synthetic cathinones, methamphetamine, ketamine, and cocaine, all of which can induce psychic disorders. The aim of this article is to explore, with the help of a literature review and clinical data from a specialized consultation: 1) The psychiatric complications most frequently associated with chemsex: comedown, psychotic symptoms, and drug addiction. 2) The comorbidities associated with chemsex, in particular the most frequent: depressive and anxiety disorders, and their implications for treatment. 3) The role played by chemsex users’ previous psychiatric problems, if any, in particular the vulnerabilities that may pre-exist substance use and their systemic effects. |

| Summary, etc. | Le chemsex, prise volontaire de substances psychoactives afin de faciliter, initier, augmenter, intensifier ou prolonger les rapports et les performances sexuelles, implique souvent un polyusage de substances. Parmi celles-ci, les cathinones de synthèse, la méthamphétamine, la kétamine et la cocaïne, qui peuvent induire des troubles psychiques. L’objectif de cet article est d’explorer, à l’aide d’une revue de la littérature et de données cliniques issues d’une consultation spécialisée : 1) Les complications psychiatriques les plus fréquemment associées au chemsex : descentes, symptômes productifs et pharmacopsychoses. 2) Les comorbidités associées au chemsex, notamment les plus fréquentes : troubles dépressifs, anxieux, et leurs implications dans la prise en charge. 3) La place des antécédents psychiatriques chez les usagers de chemsex, notamment les vulnérabilités pouvant préexister avant l’usage de substance et leurs effets systémiques. |
