| Summary, etc. | Cet article propose une perspective socioculturelle du développement psychologique pour examiner la manière dont des personnes construisent une expérience de la temporalité, et la restaurent lorsque celle-ci est compromise. L’argument central est que ce travail temporel se fait par la médiation de moyens sémiotiques que la culture met à notre disposition. Il est illustré par l’analyse d’une étude de cas, offert par le journal de guerre d’une jeune fille anglaise. L’article montre comment des repères sociaux offrent des balises permettant de ponctuer le temps qui passe, comment une personne peut faire appel à des romans ou des films pour restaurer cette temporalité, et enfin comment elle peut jouer avec l’expérience même du temps. |

| Summary, etc. | This article proposes a socio-cultural perspective of psychological development so as to examine the way in which people construct an experience of temporality and are able to restore it when it is endangered. The main argument here is that this temporal activity takes place through semiotic means that culture puts at our disposal. It is illustrated through the analysis of a case study offered by the war diary of a young english girl. The article shows how social events provide landmarks that punctuate the passing of time. A person may refer to words or films to restore this temporality and ultimately even be able to play with the experience of time. |
