| Summary, etc. | La professionnalisation des journalistes « télé », en lien avec la banalisation, la commercialisation et l’audience de masse de la télévision, loin de leur conférer autonomie et légitimité, tend à les cantonner dans une spécialité dévaluée. Ils apparaissent particulièrement exposés à la « misère de position » dont rendent compte tant leur conception et les conditions d’exercice de leur métier (notamment les « délicats » rapports aux sources) que leur place dans la hiérarchie journalistique. Toutefois, les contraintes de cet espace spécialisé ne pèsent pas également sur tous les acteurs, qui mobilisent leurs ressources respectives pour expérimenter différentes manières d’être journaliste « télé », différentes manières d’exister aux marges, du journalisme et de la critique. |

| Summary, etc. | The professionalism of television journalists, linked to television’s trivialization and mass audience, far from ensuring autonomy and legitimacy, confine the journalists to a devalued section. The seem particularly exposed to a « misère de position », showed by their conception, the working conditions of their profession (in particular the dependence on sources), and by their position at the bottom of the professional hierarchy. However, they are not equally subjected to these constraints : some are endowed with resources, which allow them to experience other ways to be a tv journalist, other ways of existing on the fringes, of journalism and of criticism. |
