| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de notre étude est d’étudier l’impact des mécanismes de gouvernance sur la performance des banques marocaines. La validation empirique concernant un panel construit à partir de 6 banques commerciales marocaines cotées à la bourse de Casablanca et observées pour une période de 7 ans, de 2009 à 2015, montre que la taille du conseil d’administration, la présence des administrateurs étrangers ainsi que la dualité de direction influencent négativement la performance de ces banques. Par contre, le niveau d’endettement et la présence d’un comité de rémunération et de nomination influencent positivement cette performance. |

| Summary, etc. | The impact of corporate governance mechanisms on the performance of Moroccan banksThis reaserch analyses the impact of governance mechanisms on the Moroccan banks performance. The empirical validation concerning a panel built from 6 Moroccan banks quoted to the stock exchange of Casablanca and observed for a period of 7 years, from 2009 till 2015. The results shows that the size of the board of directors, the presence of the foreign administrators as well as the Chairman/CEO duality infuencent negatively the performance of these banks. On the other hand, the level of debts and the presence of a remuneration and nomination committee infuence positively this performance. |
