| Summary, etc. | La dépression post-partum (DPP) est un phénomène fréquent qui affecte les capacités de parentage et, par ce biais, affecte l’enfant. Celle-ci a pendant longtemps été considérée comme un trouble uniquement maternel, ne concernant que la dyade mère-enfant, ce qui a eu pour conséquence d’exclure les pères et le contexte familial dans lequel évolue une dyade de la compréhension du trouble. Nous présentons ici des arguments en faveur d’une perspective familiale de la DPP, comme par exemple le fait qu’elle affecte aussi les pères ou que ses retombées sur l’enfant seront fortement liées à la qualité des relations conjugales et coparentales. Les implications cliniques de l’adoption d’une perspective familiale de la DPP sont également discutées. |

| Summary, etc. | Post-partum depression (PPD) is a frequently observed phenomenon which impairs parental capacities and hence, affects the child. It has ever a long period of time been considered to be uniquely a maternal disorder concerning the mother-child dyad, consequently excluding fathers and the family content in which the dyad and its volves and further understanding of the disorder. We present arguments in favour of the family approach to PPD. It affects fathers as well effects on the child will be strongly impacted by the quality of conjugal and coparental relations. Clinical implications and the adoption of a family perspective are also discussed. |
