Cet article a pour objectif l’analyse des représentations imaginaires de la ou des masculinité(s), développée(s) dans les romans Harlequin, en lien avec celle(s) de la ou des féminité(s), en s’appuyant notamment sur les travaux issus des gender studies. Sans nier le contexte socio-économique dans lequel ils sont fabriqués, ces produits ne sont pas assimilés à un tout uniformisé et uniformisant, sous prétexte qu’ils sont soumis à une production industrielle en séries, en lien avec une consommation de masse. Il s’agit plutôt, dans l’analyse des scripts culturels, de tenir compte des stratégies marketing de segmentation des publics mises en œuvre par l’instance de production, et réalisées au travers le développement de collections. |
