| Summary, etc. | Following a number of archaeological operations, a preventive archaeological dig was carried out in 2021-2022 in the immediate vicinity of Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées airport (Hautes-Pyrénées). The operation uncovered a German Flak battery from the World War II, consisting of tanks and firing posts linked by a network of trenches in the southern part of the site. Dumping pits and rest areas were also identified. To the north, the excavation revealed the presence of a vast platform surrounded by ditches, interpreted as a dispersal pit for aircraft. This is the first approach to part of the defence system for the airfield and the industrial facilities associated with it. At the time of writing, the study phase of the operation is still underway. |

| Summary, etc. | Faisant suite à plusieurs diagnostics, une fouille archéologique préventive a été menée, en 2021-2022, à proximité immédiate de l’aéroport de Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées (Hautes-Pyrénées). L’opération a permis la mise au jour d’une batterie anti-aérienne allemande de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, composée de cuves et de postes de tir reliés par un réseau de tranchées dans la partie sud du site. Des fosses dépotoirs et des zones de repos aménagées ont également été identifiées. Au nord, la fouille a révélé la présence d’une vaste plateforme ceinturée de fossés interprétée comme une alvéole de dispersion pour avion. Il s’agit là de la première approche d’une partie du dispositif de mise en défense de l’aérodrome et des installations industrielles qui lui étaient liées. Au moment de la rédaction de cet article, la phase d’étude de l’opération est toujours en cours. |
