| Summary, etc. | La résistance des bactéries aux antibiotiques est un phénomène biologique que les médias français évoquent dès les années 40, en France. Pour autant, cette menace peine à se constituer en problème public pour des raisons qui méritent l’analyse. L’étude d’un corpus d’articles extraits du Monde, de 1948 à 2012, permet de distinguer trois périodes au cours desquelles le problème se reconfigure : la période héroïque (1948-1966) ; celle où s’expriment des critiques à l’égard de l’usage des antibiotiques dans l’élevage (1966-1990) ; la période la plus récente enfin, pendant laquelle on assiste à la mise en œuvre de plans d’action gouvernementaux, mais où le problème se fragmente et souffre d’un manque de visibilité (1990-2012). Ces trois moments participent d’un processus de constitution d’un problème public encore inachevé. |

| Summary, etc. | Although the declarations of Alexander Fleming explaining what is antimicrobial resistance, had been reported by the French media, this problem has hardly been constituted as a public problem in France, and the reasons why should be explored. The study of a corpus of articles in Le Monde, from 1948 to 2012, reveals three periods: the heroic period (1948-1966); a second period of criticism concerning the misuses of antibiotics in farming (1966-1990); and a third one, meanwhile the French Government has displayed an important action plan, but the problem has never gained unity nor visibility (1990-2012).
