| Summary, etc. | Dans la 28e livraison de Questions de communication, Fabien Granjon avait posé la question de savoir ce qu’il en est du rapport que les sciences de l’homme et de la société – à l’intérieur desquelles les sciences de l’information et de la communication prennent place – entretiennent avec la critique. S’appuyant sur les travaux d’Armand Mattelart, il s’est efforcé de mettre au jour l’agenda des recherches sur le sujet en s’attachant et retraçant la place du matérialisme critique. Cinq chercheurs en sciences de l’information et de la communication lui répondent : Roger Bautier, Françoise Bernard, David Douyère, Thomas Heller et Romain Huët. De générations et champs de recherche distincts, tous nuancent et relativisent le propos initial, notamment en faisant l’hypothèse que la critique n’est pas réductible au matérialisme. |

Based on the Armand Mattelart’s works, he sought to bring to light the agenda of the researches on this subject by tracing the place of critical materialism. Five researchers answer to him: Roger Bautier, Françoise Bernard, David Douyère, Thomas Heller and Romain Huët. From different generations and fields of research, all of them qualify and reduced the weighting of the initial emphasis, in particular by assuming that criticism cannot be reduced to materialism. |
