| Summary, etc. | Cet article prolonge le débat ouvert dans la 34e livraison de Questions de communication (2018) concernant la visibilité des anonymes et les images conversationnelles qui colonisent l’espace public. Avec la crise des Gilets jaunes, la question des violences policières s’est imposée comme un exemple majeur de contre-récit, appuyé pour l’essentiel sur la diffusion en ligne d’images virales. Cet article analyse les conditions d’émergence dans le débat public d’un récit minoritaire grâce aux médias numériques. À l’écart de la communication militante, confronté à de puissants mécanismes de déni, un processus d’alerte autonome s’est constitué à partir de la crédibilité du format documentaire, de la dynamique argumentative de la conversation en ligne et de la mobilisation d’une esthétique de la pitié. |

This article analyzes the conditions for the emergence in public debate of a minority narrative thanks to digital media. Apart from activist communication, faced with powerful denial mechanisms, an autonomous alert process has been established based on the credibility of the documentary format, the argumentative dynamic of the online conversation, and the mobilization of an aesthetic of mercy. |
