| Summary, etc. | Cet article vise à analyser le développement récent du marché français du jeûne de « bien-être » à partir des promesses qu’il porte et des idéologies dans lesquelles il s’enracine. Le matériau collecté associe une analyse de contenu réalisée sur les sites internet promouvant les stages de jeûne, des entretiens réalisés avec les responsables des réseaux de commercialisation et une analyse documentaire approfondie (littérature grise et scientifique). Après avoir reconstruit la trajectoire socio-historique de cette promesse, caractérisé l’offre sur internet puis décrit la rhétorique mobilisée par les promoteurs, les auteurs identifient un assemblage argumentatif mêlant discours alternatif et discours scientiste, et se déclinant selon trois axes – l’ascétisme, le politique et l’exploration de soi. Cet assemblage original permet d’appréhender la pratique contemporaine du jeûne comme une technique d’optimisation de soi, où l’on fait du plus avec du moins : un transhumanisme « à mains nues ». |

| Summary, etc. | This article aims to analyze the recent development of the fasting market in France, looking at its promises as well as the ideologies in which it takes root. The data collected come from a content analysis of the websites that promote fasting courses, interviews conducted with the heads of marketing networks, and an extensive literature review (gray and scientific literature). After having rebuilt the socio-historical trajectory of this promise, defined the online offering, and described the rhetoric used by the promoters, the authors identify an argumentative assemblage that combines alternative and scientistic discourses, and that is made of three lines: ascetism, politics, and self-exploration. This original assemblage enables us to understand the contemporary practice of fasting as a self-optimization technique from which one does more with less: transhumanism “with bare hands.” |

El material recopilado combina un análisis de contenido realizado en sitios web que promueven cursos de ayuno, entrevistas con gerentes de redes de mercadeo y un análisis de la literatura. Después de haber reconstruido la trayectoria socio-histórica de esta promesa, caracterizó la oferta en internet y luego describió la retórica movilizada por los promotores, los autores identifican un conjunto argumentativo que mezcla discursos alternativos y discursos científicos. Se han identificado tres ejes problemáticos: ascetismo, política y exploración de si mismo y este “ensamblaje” original nos permite aprehender la práctica contemporánea del ayuno como una técnica de optimización, que se puede describir como un transhumanismo "con las manos desnudas". |
