| Summary, etc. | L’éditeur Breitkopf & Härtel a grandement participé au développement d’un discours savant sur la musique. En m’appuyant sur quatre de ses revues, j’observe comment les enjeux de circulation des savoirs et de constitution d’un marché éditorial se concilient avec l’élaboration d’un territoire disciplinaire spécialisé. Au service d’une stratégie commerciale, l’ Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung (1798-1848 ; 1863-1882) s’adresse à un public qui dépasse le monde savant. De caractère scientifique, les Jahrbücher für musikalische Wissenschaft (1863, 1867) défendent la nécessité d’associer le regard du dilettante à celui du spécialiste. La Zeitschrift der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft (1899-1914) et les Sammelbände der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft (1899-1914) sont conçues pour intéresser respectivement le musicien et le musicologue. Ces périodiques contribuent à constituer la musique en un objet scientifique, situé au cœur des intérêts d’un public cultivé. |

| Summary, etc. | Breitkopf & Härtel largely contributed to the development of a learned discourse on music. Based on an analysis of four journals founded by this music publisher, this article aims to examine how circulation of knowledge and scientific specialization during the 19th century were linked to the establishment of a publishing market. As part of a commercial strategy, the Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung (1798-1848; 1863-1882) intended to adress a general readership. The Jahrbücher für musikalische Wissenschaft (1863, 1867) defended the need to conciliate the accurate knowledge of the specialist and the broader outlook of the dilettante. The Zeitschrift der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft (1899-1914) and the Sammelbände der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft (1899-1914) are conceived to interest musicians and musicologists respectively. |

Al servicio de una estrategia comercial, el Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung (1798-1848; 1863-1882) se dirige a un público que va más allá del mundo culto. De carácter científico, los Jahrbücher für musikalische Wissenschaft (1863, 1867) defienden la necesidad de combinar el punto de vista del diletante con el del especialista. El Zeitschrift der Internationalen Musik-Gesellschaft (1899-1914) y el Sammelbände der Internationalen Musik-Gesellschaft (1899-1914) están diseñados para interesar respectivamente al músico y al musicólogo.
