En interrogeant la distinction entre plateformes commerciales et plateformes institutionnelles, notre objectif est d’approfondir les motivations du contributeur et son statut en tant que travailleur dans ces environnements numériques. Pour ce faire, nous considérons le domaine de la généalogie et plus particulièrement le cas des contributeurs de Geneanet. En s’appuyant sur un questionnaire et une série d’entretiens, l’article analyse le positionnement des contributeurs entre digital labor et travail gratuit. |

By exploring the distinction between commercial platforms and institutional platforms, our objective is to study the motivations of the contributor and their status as workers in these digital environments. To that end, we consider the field of genealogy and more particularly the case of the contributors of Geneanet. Through a survey and a series of interviews, we analyze the positioning of contributors between digital labor and free labor. |
