| Summary, etc. | Cet article analyse la médiatisation des exoplanètes et de questions corollaires, en particulier la recherche de vie extraterrestre, hors et dans le système solaire (sur Mars en particulier). Il s’agit de mettre en évidence l’événementialisation des exoplanètes par les médias d’information (télévision, presse quotidienne et magazines) conduisant au partage collectif d’horizons d’attente sur ces questions. Il s’agit également de déceler et de décrire ces horizons par une analyse de magazines de vulgarisation scientifique français et américains. Les médiatisations des exoplanètes traduisent alors des questionnements évolutifs sur l’existence de « nouvelles Terres » ou d’une « habitabilité ». Ces nouveaux récits internationalisés accompagnent les investissements dans le domaine de l’exploration spatiale dans une logique de proximisation, justifiant l’exploitation de nouveaux marchés liés au domaine en plein essor du New Space. Les médiatisations d’acteurs tels que SpaceX et Blue Origin s’ajoutent alors à celle des scientifiques, désormais enjoints à systématiquement médiatiser leurs découvertes. |

| Summary, etc. | This article analyzes the media coverage of exoplanets and related issues, in particular the search for extraterrestrial life outside and in the solar system (mainly on Mars). The purpose is to highlight the eventialization of exoplanets by the news media (TV, daily press and magazines) leading to the collective sharing of horizons of expectation on these questions. It is also a question of detecting and describing these horizons by an analysis of French and American science popularization magazines. The media coverage of exoplanets then reflects evolving questions about the existence of “new Earths” or “habitability”. These new internationalized narratives accompany investments in the field of space exploration in a logic of proximity, justifying the exploitation of new markets linked to the booming field of New Space. The media coverage of actors such as SpaceX and Blue Origin is then added to that of scientists, now enjoined to systematically publicize their discoveries. |
