| Summary, etc. | Entre 1881 et 1914, c’est-à-dire quand le cyclisme associatif connaît sa phase initiale de fort développement, les véloce-clubs du Nord et du Pas-de-Calais font le choix d’une organisation fédérale régionale plutôt que nationale. En conséquence l’Union vélocipédique de France, pourtant créée à l’initiative de l’un d’entre eux en 1881, est peu représentée dans la région du Nord. Par contre deux organisations autonomes puissantes, la Fédération vélocipédique du Nord, dans les années 1890, le Nord touriste, à partir de 1899, y prospèrent. Ne serait-ce pas là la résurgence ponctuelle de sentiments régionalistes latents ? |

| Summary, etc. | Between 1881 and 1914, i.e. when associative cycling goes through its initial phase of strong development, the Nord and Pas-de-Calais’véloce clubs’opt for a regional rather than national federal organization. As a consequence, the Union Vélocipédique de France, though created on the initiative of one of them in 1881, is little represented in the Nord region. Conversely, two powerful autonomous organizations thrive, the Fédération vélocipédique du Nord, in the 1890s, the Nord Touriste after 1899. Wouldn’t that characterize a resurgence, at a certain point in time, of a latent regionalist feeling ? |
