| Summary, etc. | L’Éphémère au travers de la Correspondance d’Yves Bonnefoy La correspondance d’Yves Bonnefoy révèle la vie de L’Éphémère (1967-1972) qui n’a cessé d’inspirer ses animateurs, aussi bien après la cessation de paraître que parallèlement à la réalisation de la revue : elle les a confrontés aux contraintes de la publication, aux divergences entre les rédacteurs, accrues par les remises en question dont Mai 68 a marqué la phase aiguë. Les lettres témoignent des conflits et de la fécondité du questionnement à plusieurs. Un alter ego de la revue se révèle, qui la ramène à ses fondements essentiels. Porté par la confiance dans l’amitié et dans les mots, se réaffirme l’attachement à la vocation de la poésie à rester fidèle à son surgissement.L’annotation d’Odile Bombarde et de Philippe Labarthe – à elle seule un essai sur le pouvoir créateur d’un revue –, donne une dimension supplémentaire à ces interrogations en les reliant aux textes retenus par la réunion des rédacteurs ainsi qu’à leurs œuvres en cours ou abouties. |

Because of it, they had to face the constraints linked to publication, disputes between writers, all the more so as the events of May 1968 marked their most acute phase. The letters testify both to the conflicts and to the fruitfulness of the collective questioning it promoted. An alter ego of the magazine is revealed, which brings it back to its essential foundations. Carried by trust in friendship as well as in words, it reaffirmed its commitment to the vocation of poetry to remain faithful to its urgency.The annotation of Odile Bombarde and Philippe Labarthe – in itself an essay on the creative power of a journal – gives an additional dimension to these questions by linking them to the texts retained by the meeting of the editors and their work in progress or completed pieces. |
