| Summary, etc. | RésuméDeux caveaux funéraires maçonnés et une tombe à incinération de la période romaine ont été mis au jour sur la commune de Bruay-la-Buissière (62) lors d’un diagnostic archéologique réalisé, par l’Inrap en 2004. Ce nouveau pôle funéraire se développe au sud-est de la commune à environ 1 km au sud des ateliers de potiers. Il s’agit de deux caveaux en grès maçonnés conserves sur deux à trois assises de pierre. L’un des deux possédait un couloir d’accès menant à une petite chambre funéraire de plan carré. Les offrandes qui accompagnaient les défunts ont été pillées, mais des éléments découverts dans le remblai de l’un d’entre eux permettent de situer l’enfouissement vers les années 60-90 ap. J.-C.Cette découverte concerne le contexte funéraire de l’agglomération antique de Bruay-la-Buissière et apporte quelques données nouvelles sur la gestuelle funéraire de la seconde moitié du ier s. ap. J.-C. dans la cité des Atrébates. |

| Summary, etc. | Hypogeic-chambered Gallo-Roman Graves in the « Rue du Chemin Vert » in Bruay-la-BuissièreTwo Roman period stone-work burial vaults and a cremation tomb were excavated on the territory of the commune of Bruay-la-Buissière (62) during archaeological works carried out by the INRAP in 2004. This newly discovered burial site is situated about 1 km south of the potters’ workshops. They are constituted of two sandstone vaults whose work is preserved up to the second or third layer of stone. One on them features an access corridor leading to a small square-shaped funerary vault. Deposits that accompanied the dead had been pillaged, but some elements found in the filling material of one permit us to date the period of burial to years A.D. 60-90.This discovery relates to the funerary provision of the Antique urban centre of Bruay-la-Buissière and provides a few further data on the funerary practices in the second half of the ist century A.D. at this city of the Atrebates. |
