| Summary, etc. | La source cadastrale est certes imparfaite, mais elle est la seule utilisable pour juger de l’utilisation du sol à l’échelle d’un département. M. Guignet a relevé pour chaque commune du Nord les renseignements précis fournis par le cadastre dit « napoléonien », en reprenant les grands secteurs retenus par l’administration (terres à labour, prés et herbages, bois et forêts, marais, vergers, jardins à légumes). Il procède d’abord à une pesée globale au niveau du département (64 % de terres labourables, 16,77 % de prés et pâtures, 11,01 % de forêts...). Il scrute ensuite les écarts internes au département en faisant varier les observations à l’échelle des arrondissements, puis à celle des cantons, examinés au travers du filtre des quartiles. Enfin, faute, dans un article même vaste, de pouvoir tout dire des dénivellations internes à l’échelle communale, il propose une cartographie commentée du décile supérieur des communes pour chacun des six grands secteurs précédemment définis. |

| Summary, etc. | The cadastral source is undoubtedly defective, but it is the only one that is available to assess the uses of the land on the scale of a department. Mr. Guignet has collected for each commune of the Nord the precise information delivered by the so-called « Napoleonic » cadastral survey, while remaining faithful to the major headings selected by the administration (ploughland, meadows and pastures, woods and forests, marshes, orchards, vegetable gardens). He first proceeds to a global weighing at the level of the department (64 % ploughland, 16.77 % pastures, 11.01 % forests...). He then examines the variations inside the department by bringing the focus of observation to the level of the « arrondissement » then to the level of the « cantons », surveyed through the filter of the quartiles. Finally, for want of being able, in even a long article, to be exhaustive about the internal grading at the level of the commune, he proposes a commented cartography of the upper decile of the communes for each of the six major headings previously defined. |

| Summary, etc. | Deze bron voor het kadaster is weliswaar niet volledig, maar het is de enige bruikbare voor de studie van het grondbeheer op de schaal van het departement. Guignet heeft voor elke gemeente in het Noorden de gegevens uit het kadaster van Napoleon gehaald en die gerangschikt volgens de sectoren van de administratie : landbouw, weide, bos en woud, moeras, boomgaard, groentetuin. Hij berekent dan het gewicht van die sectoren, voor het hele departement (landbouw 64 %, weide 16,77 %, woud 11,01 %) en dan per arrondissement en kanton, bekeken per kwartiel. Omdat het zelfs in een lang artikel niet mogelijk is in te gaan op de verdeling per gemeente, publiceert hij een cartografie met commentaar per hoger deciel voor de zes grote sectoren. |
