| Summary, etc. | En 2002, un site fossoyé médiéval et moderne a été fouillé sur l’actuelle commune de Dourges (Pas-de-Calais). Les trois états successifs d’enclos ovalaires, restitués, ont été attribués, sur la base des assemblages céramiques, au xiiie s., à la seconde moitié du xve s. et enfin au xvie s. L’arasement du site n’a pas permis de reconnaître l’organisation des édifices internes. Les archives identifient le site comme la « cense » ou « Temple de Dourges » situé sur le territoire de l’ancienne commune de Bourcheuil. Mentionnée pour la première fois en 1239, l’exploitation est affermée continûment depuis 1353 jusqu’à la Révolution, en dépit de la disparition définitive des bâtiments en 1710. La restitution cartographique des limites et des principaux éléments, dissociés, du village de Bourcheuil démontre l’insertion topographique de la cense dans une organisation parcellaire et probablement agraire. Si la datation et l’identification des acteurs de cette organisation restent à déterminer, l’opération permet d’introduire à la problématique des sites fossoyés non seigneuriaux de curtes fortifiées (fossoyées ?) qualifiées de firmitates, de castra, ou encore, comme à Dourges même pour la ferme d’Anchin, de domus defensibiles. |

| Summary, etc. | The « Temple de Dourges » (in Bourcheuil). Delta 3 Multimodal Hub-LA5 siteIn 2002 a mediaeval and modern ditched site was excavated in what is now the commune of Dourges (Pas-de-Calais). Three successive oval-shaped enclosures, were identified and could be attributed, on the basis of the pottery collections, to the XIIIth, to the second half of the XVth and finally to the XVIth centuries. The levelling (truncation) of the site meant that it was not possible to recognize the organization of the internal buildings. The records identify the site as the « cense » or « Temple de Dourges » situated within the territory of the ancient commune of Bourcheuil. First mentioned in 1239, the holding was continuously leased from 1353 to the Revolution, in spite of the final disappearance of the farm buildings by 1710. Separation by phase of the main landscape features and establishing the sequence associated with the village of Bourcheuil indicates the topographic inclusion of the « cense » in a system of land parcelling and also probably agricultural organization. If the dating and the identity of those responsible for this organization remain to be determined, the operation nonetheless allows us to view in a more informed manner the nature of non-seigniorial ditched sites, of fortified (ditched ?) curtes qualified of firmitates, of castra or again, like in Dourges even for the Anchin farm, of domus defensibiles. |
