| Summary, etc. | La transformation post-socialiste a eu des effets déterminants sur la répartition des revenus et l’évolution des inégalités dans tous les pays anciennement socialistes. L’explication de la dynamique observée réside entre autres dans les réformes appliquées dans le cadre des politiques de stabilisation, de libéralisation et de privatisation de l’économie. Cependant, l’existence de deux trajectoires différenciées au niveau régional, avec la réussite relative, en termes de croissance et d’évolution des inégalités, de l’Europe centrale et des pays baltes comparativement aux pays de la CEI, nous amène à réfléchir à l’impact des facteurs historiques et des conditions initiales, à l’influence des institutions présentes et passées et, enfin, au rôle déterminant de l’État. L’étude des déterminants de la trajectoire d’évolution des inégalités dans la transformation post-socialiste s’appuie sur trois pays : la République tchèque, la Hongrie et la Russie. Nous nous efforcerons d’analyser les spécificités des politiques et des institutions dans les domaines du travail et de la redistribution pour rendre compte de ces trois trajectoires de transformation. |

| Summary, etc. | The transition has had definite effects on income inequality and distribution in all former socialist countries.The observed trends are partly explained by the reforms implemented in the policy framework of stabilization, liberalization and privatization of the economy. There are, however, two different paths on a regional level: the relative success, in terms of growth and the handling of inequality, of the central European and Baltic states contrasts with the less favorable situation in countries belonging to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This suggests taking into account factors related to history, initial conditions, institutions (past and present) and the government’s role. This study analyzes the determinants of trends related to inequality in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Russia. Their differences are explained by the policies and institutions related to the labor market and income redistribution. |
