Summary, etc. | En France, l’École de la République est le lieu de la construction et d’apprentissage d’une culture commune qui, historiquement au moins, ignore sciemment les ancrages culturels, géographiques, sociaux du sujet, élève ou enseignant. De ce fait, elle laisse peu de place aux individus pris dans leur singularité et peine à entendre leur parole. L’enjeu d’une réflexion sur la parole dans l’institution scolaire concerne les rencontres qu’elle permet, ou non, entre adolescents et adultes. Rencontres qui apparaissent comme autant d’occasions éducatives et pédagogiques indispensables, et comme des accroches nécessaires pour que les jeunes d’aujourd’hui se scolarisent durablement. Deux obstacles à l’existence de rencontres intersubjectives authentiques se dessinent : le premier se situe dans le contexte scolaire lui-même qui, traversé par des représentations multiples et pas toujours conciliables, paraît soumis à une tension forte entre des objectifs contradictoires. Le second se situe dans l’absence de clarification des ressorts de l’investissement professionnel des différents acteurs adultes, dans et autour de l’École. |

Summary, etc. | In France, the school of the Republic is the place where the construction and learning of a shared culture happens. Historically at least, this culture has to ignore, deliberately, the cultural, geographical and social roots of the subject, either pupil or teacher. Because of this, little room is left for individuals with a singularity, and their speech is hardly heard. In a reflection on speech in educational institutions, what is at stakes relates to the encounters they allow, or not, between adolescents and adults. These encounters appear as just as many educational and instructive essential opportunities, and as necessary hooks for the lasting schooling of young people of our days. Two impediments stand in the way of the existence of intersubjective encounters: the first lies in the educational context in itself. Infused with multiple representations, not always compatible amongst themselves, it seems subjected to a strong tension between opposing aims. The second one is set in the absence of clarification of the professional investment mechanisms of the different adult actors, inside and around schooling. |
