| Summary, etc. | Vingt ans après l’effondrement du système collectiviste soviétique, l’agropastoralisme kirghizstanais a été profondément transformé. Portées par la demande urbaine, des filières marchandes à haute valeur ajoutée se structurent, telle que la filière bovine. Empruntant aux méthodes d’analyse des systèmes agraires et aux approches filières institutionnalistes, cet article rappelle les grandes évolutions qui ont affecté le système agropastoral à la collectivisation puis à la décollectivisation. L’identification des grands types d’exploitations agricoles privées, de leurs logiques de fonctionnement et de leur positionnement au sein de la filière bovine permet d’éclairer les rapports de force existants dans l’accès aux ressources et la captation de la valeur ajoutée. Enfin, la manière concrète dont se réalisent les échanges marchands révèle un système flexible, porté par les stratégies entrepreneuriales des grandes exploitations de finition et des commerçants. Le commerce des bovins apparait aujourd’hui comme un facteur d’intégration économique des exploitations agricoles, à l’échelle locale comme à l’échelle régionale. |

| Summary, etc. | Since the collapse of Soviet collectivism twenty years ago, Kirghiz agropastoralism has undergone deep changes. Stimulated by demand from urban areas, commercial networks are forming with high added value, as in the beef industry. Borrowing from methods for analyzing agricultural systems and from institutionalist approaches, this article recalls the major changes in the Kirghiz agro-pastoral system during collectivization and then decollectivization. By identifying the major types of private farms, their operational rationale and position in the beef industry, light is shed on the power relations that determine access to resources and an increased share of the value-added. When looking at how market transactions are actually carried out, we observe a flexible system, borne by the entrepreneurial strategies of big farms and merchants. The beef trade is a factor favoring the economic integration of farms at the local and regional levels. |
