| Summary, etc. | Après la libération de la région de Lille en septembre 1944, une partie des membres des Forces françaises de l’Intérieur (FFI) a été intégrée dans l’armée française renaissante. Hormis le sujet du front de Dunkerque, leur parcours entre septembre 1944 et la fin de la guerre a été peu étudié. Cet article propose d’apporter un éclairage complémentaire. Les profils des principales figures ayant présidé à l’emploi militaire des anciens FFI dans la région lilloise sont exposés. Le processus d’intégration dans l’armée des anciens FFI, notamment avec la mise sur pied d’une nouvelle 1re Division d’infanterie, est ensuite étudié, en intégrant aussi bien les jeux d’acteurs liés à la remise en place d’une administration militaire que la question matérielle. Celle-ci a été déterminante et révélatrice des multiples écueils rencontrés en 1945 par les projets français de réarmement. |

| Summary, etc. | From the « poor North Army » to the « beautiful 1st Infantry Division » : integrating the French Forces of the Interior in the resurgent French army in the Lille area in 1944-1945Following the Lille area’s liberation in September 1944, a part of the local French Forces of the Interior (FFI) has been integrated in the resurgent French army. Beside the siege of Dunkirk, their military utilization between September 1944 and the Victory Day in Europe has been seldom studied. This paper aims at to filling in this gap. The major regional figures in charge of the military integration of these former FFI personnels are examined. The establishment of a new military administration, are analysed, especially the process to set up a new 1st Infantry Division in the Lille area. Equipment has been the crucial issue, indicative of the numerous challenges encountered by the French rearmement plans in 1945. |
