| Summary, etc. | En 2018, la réalisation d’une opération de diagnostic d’environ 4 ha sur la commune de mazinghem (Pas-de-Calais) a permis la mise au jour de trois petites fosses datées de l’Âge du Bronze moyen/final. Vraisemblablement témoins de rejets d’une occupation domestique toute proche, ces vestiges s’avèrent surtout intéressants par le mobilier issu de leurs comblements. Le corpus lithique particulièrement homogène fut l’occasion d’étudier la chaîne opératoire quasi complète d’un débitage. À l’instar des quelques corpus régionaux de référence pour cette période chronologique, la série de mazinghem démontre une activité de taille opportuniste par percussion directe à la pierre dure sur de petits blocs de silex locaux ramassés en position secondaire et souvent de mauvaise qualité. L’outillage composé de grattoirs, de denticulés, d’éclats retouchés ou utilisés bruts et d’un aiguisoir de type meulet en grès semble témoigner de besoins peu exigeants en terme de typologie fonctionnelle. Il démontre toutefois la continuité à l’échelle domestique d’un usage de la pierre taillée parallèlement au lent développement d’outils en alliage cuivreux. |

| Summary, etc. | In 2018 the investigation of an area of approximately 4 ha in Mazinghem (Pas-de-Calais) revealed three small pits dating from the middle or final Bronze Age. The principal interest of these features lies in the lithic artefacts contained in their fillings, probably representing domestic scale production waste. The notably homogenous character of the collected lithic assemblage enables the study of an almost complete ‘chaîne opératoire’ of flint knapping. As is the case with several other collections from the region, belonging to the same chronological period, it shows an opportunistic production, by direct percussion with hard stone, of flint cutting, using small, local, often poor quality, flint cores. Tools consist of scrapers, denticulate, simply retouched or rough-used flakes and a sandstone sharpener, all suggesting use for non-specialized needs. It also demonstrates the continuity, on a domestic scale, of flint knapping in parallel to the slow growth in acquisition of copper alloy tools. |
