| Summary, etc. | La uilla romaine de Proville se situe au bord de l’Escaut et occupe un site déjà fréquenté au Néolithique et au début de l’Âge du Fer. Des prospections aériennes et différentes campagnes de prospections pédestres permettent de caractériser le site. Il s’agit d’une uilla de taille moyenne, mais comprenant des pièces décorées de mosaïques et de placages de pierre. Elle est occupée du début du ier s. au ive s. |

| Summary, etc. | The Roman villa ( uilla) of Proville is situated on the banks of the Scheldt and occupies an environment that was already settled in the Neolithic and early Iron Age periods. Aerial surveys and various campaigns of fieldwalking have helped characterize the site. It is a medium-sized villa and includes rooms decorated with mosaics and stone veneers. It was occupied from the beginning of the 1st century AD through to the 4th century. |
