| Summary, etc. | Avec une approche issue de la sociologie historique, cet article examine les conditions sociales de l’identification allemande en Hongrie après la seconde guerre mondiale. Il s’attache à la logique du discours sur la culpabilité collective, à travers l’analyse empirique non seulement de la politique hongroise de nationalité mais aussi des déclarations publiques dans le contexte des discours internationaux (européens) sur le passé, qui ont façonné la Hongrie depuis les années 1980. L’article propose une périodisation historique en fonction des différents types de discours et des stratégies d’identification. Il explique ainsi pourquoi aujourd’hui la question se pose désormais en termes de « mémoire des expulsions ». |

| Summary, etc. | Using approaches from Historical Sociology, this essay discusses the social conditions of German identification in Hungary after the Second World War. It focuses on the discursive logic of collective guilt through the empirical analysis of Hungarian nationality politics and public utterances in the context of the international (European) discourses on the past that have influenced Hungary since the 1980s. The essay proposes a historical periodization according to typical configurations of discursive constraints and strategic identifications, and thus explains why the problem arises today as the “memory of expulsions”. |
