| Summary, etc. | Comment la Russie a-t-elle reçu les projets chinois liés aux nouvelles routes de la Soie (Belt and Road Initiative , BRI) dans le contexte de la pandémie de Covid-19, en 2020-2021, avant l’invasion de l’Ukraine par l’armée russe le 24 février 2022 ? Dans quelle mesure la pandémie a-t-elle produit une inflexion réelle de cette réception ? Pour répondre à ces questions, cet article rappelle les principaux projets d’infrastructures contenus dans la BRI pour la Russie et l’Union économique eurasiatique. Le niveau de développement des infrastructures russes de transport et de communication est décrit en faisant des comparaisons internationales et en discutant leur potentiel d’amélioration. Les conséquences de la pandémie de Covid-19 sur les relations économiques russo-chinoises sont signalées, ainsi que les limites structurelles des effets de la BRI sur les possibilités de diversification de l’économie russe. |

| Summary, etc. | How did Russia react to the projects sponsored under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during 2020-2021, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic but before the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022? How did the pandemic affect Russia’s response? To answer these questions, the main infrastructure projects foreseen by the BRI for Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union are described. By drawing on international comparisons, the level of development of Russia’s infrastructures in transportation and communications is analyzed as well as its potential for improvements. The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic relations between the two counties are pointed out along with the structural limits of the BRI on the possibilities for diversification in Russia’s economy. |
