| Summary, etc. | RésuméÀ partir d’un modèle de microsimulation dynamique, nous analysons l’investissement public pour l’enseignement supérieur dans une perspective d’équité fiscale. Nos résultats montrent l’existence d’une déconnexion entre la contribution fiscale des diplômés et les financements publics à la formation tertiaire dont ils ont bénéficié. Nous considérons qu’une partie importante des impôts payés par les diplômés du supérieur tout au long de leur vie servent à couvrir les dépenses de formation tertiaire initiales dont ils ont bénéficié. La durée de subvention implicite médiane correspond alors à 18 % du cycle de vie fiscal d’un contribuable diplômé du supérieur, mais est sensiblement différente selon le type de diplôme. |

| Summary, etc. | Higher education and implicit individual subsidies: a dynamic microsimulation analysisBased on a dynamic microsimulation model, we analyze the public investment in higher education with a fiscal equity perspective. Our results show that the difference between the level of taxes for tertiary degrees and the level of public subsidies for their initial training is an issue. We consider that the taxes paid by the former student are used to cover the cost of his/her initial training. Then, we estimate that the median of implicit subvention corresponds to 18% of the fiscal life cycle of an individual with a tertiary degree; there is an important heterogeneity across the types of diploma.Classification JEL : H52, J24, J11, C63 |
