| Summary, etc. | Cet article examine l’évolution conceptuelle de la notion de ressource au sein de la théorie des communs, en mettant en lumière la diversité des approches depuis les contributions initiales d’Elinor Ostrom. Au terme d’une revue de littérature intégrative, nous identifions les différents types de ressources étudiées sur le plan empirique. Dans un second temps, une analyse de type abductif nous permet d’identifier deux paradigmes sous-jacents : une perspective naturaliste et une approche relationnelle des communs. Nous montrons que ces paradigmes sont ancrés dans des perspectives divergentes de la ressource sur les plans empirique, ontologique et épistémologique, ainsi que dans une conception particulière du commun dans sa fonction sociopolitique. Nous contribuons, enfin, à dessiner les voies de recherche ouvertes pour de futurs travaux sur les communs. |

| Summary, etc. | This article examines the conceptual evolution of the notion of resources within commons theory, highlighting the diversity of approaches since Elinor Ostrom’s initial contributions. Following an integrative literature review, we identify the different types of resources studied empirically. Secondly, an abductive analysis enables us to identify two underlying paradigms: a naturalistic perspective and a relational approach to the commons. We show that these paradigms are rooted in divergent empirical, ontological, and epistemological perspectives on resources, as well as in a particular conception of the commons in its sociopolitical function. Last but not least, we help to outline the research avenues open to future work on the commons. JEL Codes: P28 |
