| Summary, etc. | La grande mobilité actuelle des hommes, dans le temps et dans l'espace, crée de nouvelles formes d'occupation de l'espace. Celles-ci génèrent donc de nouvelles relations entre l'homme et son environnement. À partir de la relecture de deux enquêtes, menées sur le peuplement des fronts pionniers en Amazonie brésilienne, on montrera comment le passage d'une migration classique à une circulation intense des individus bouleverse complètement la relation à l'environnement des populations. Les mobilités engendrent de nouvelles territorialités complexes où les conflits d'usage risquent de devenir nombreux. On assiste à la disparition du paysan, ancré dans son terroir, symbole de la civilisation agricole, et à l'émergence d'une nouvelle civilisation qualifiée d'urbaine par défaut. |

| Summary, etc. | Frontier, Migration and Environment in the Amazon Basin. -- Current wide-scale human mobility in time and space creates new forms of spatial occupation. These in turn generate new relationships between man and his environment. Examining two studies on the settlement of pioneer frontiers in the Brazilian Amazon, we will demonstrate how the transition from classic migration to an intense circulation of individuals has disrupted the relationship between the human populations and the environment. Increased human mobility creates complex new territorialities in which land use conflicts are likely to multiply. Presently, we are witnessing the disappearance of the rural farmer, who had come to symbolise agricultural civilisation, and the emergence of a new civilisation that can only be qualified as urban. |

| Summary, etc. | Frontera, migración y medio ambiente en el Amazonas. -- La gran movilidad actual de los hombres, en el tiempo y en el espacio, crea nuevas formas de ocupación del espacio. Éstas generan nuevas relaciones entre el hombre y su medio ambiente. La relectura de dos investigaciones, realizadas sobre el asentamiento de los frentes pioneros en el Amazonas brasileño, pone en evidencia la conexión entre la movilidad de los hombres y el medio ambiente. El paso de una migración clásica a una circulación intensa de los individuos cambia completamente la relación al medio ambiente de las poblaciones. Las movilidades generan nuevas territorialidades complejas donde los conflictos de uso corren el riesgo de ser numerosos. De hecho se asiste a la desaparición del campesino afianzado en su tierra, símbolo de la civilización agrícola, y a la aparición de una nueva civilización calificada de urbana por defecto. |
