| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’informe n’est pas la matrice de l’archaïque mais sa chair sensible et érogène telle que, du point de vue de la pensée, elle s’exprime dans l’indicible sensation intellectuelle de la certitude propre à l’évidence. Lorsque le mythe tente de s’en approcher, il ne peut donner qu’ un pâle écho de cet univers sans contours qu’on ne dira «informe» que parce que nous nous en sommes définitivement et irrémédiablement détachés.Face à l’informe, l’archaïque se définirait alors comme l’incarnation de survivances, répétition et actualisation d’un vécu fossile. Formes raides, épurées, condensées dans des images ou des mots, elles sont évoquées dans cet article à partir d’approches diverses et complémentaires: la mythologie, l’art du modelage et de la sculpture, la philosophie afin de tenter de repérer quelle place occupe la référence à l’informe dans l’archaïque.On envisage dans un second temps comment cette dialectique de l’informe et de l’archaïque éclaire la manière dont l’enfant rencontre la question métaphysique de l’origine et de la fin et les réponses qu’il tente de former en termes de mythes magico-sexuels. |

| Summary, etc. | The formless is not the matrix of the archaic but its living, erogenous form in flesh, to such an extent that, from the standpoint of thought itself, it expresses the intellectual sensation of absolute, proven certitude, a sensation that is in itself impossible to put into words. When myth comes close to this notion, it can only provide a faint echo of this shapeless, boundless universe that we refer to as the ‘formless’ simply because we find ourselves in a position that is definitively and irremediably detached from it.With respect to the formless, the archaic can be defined as the incarnate form of surviving remnants, the repeated, updated form of our own fossilised history. In rigid, purified, condensed form, images or words are the traces of these remnants and we shall study examples of this in here from the diverse but complementary viewpoints of mythology, plastic arts such as modelling or sculpture or again philosophy, in order to try and pinpoint what position is held by the given reference to the formless within the archaic.We shall then go on to look at how the dialectic between the formless and the archaic sheds light on the manner in which the child confronts the metaphysical question of origin and endings and the answers that child tries to find in response to this in terms of magico-sexual myths. |
