| Summary, etc. | L'article aborde la place de la Pensée Complexe (PC) définie par Edgar Morin dans le pilotage des organisations de santé. Les résultats de la recherche montrent que le manque de PC affecte la performance et nuit à la qualité des soins. L’organisation génère des dysfonctionnements coûteux, causes et conséquences du manque d’auto-éco-ré-organisation. Les conditions épistémologiques des établissements semblent défavorables au pilotage par la PC mais elles pourraient néanmoins être contrebalancées par un management socio-économique qui articule recherche de résultats à court terme et création de valeur à long terme. |

| Summary, etc. | This research deals with the place of Complex Thinking defined by Edgar Morin in the French hospitals and nursing homes. The results show that the lack of Complex Thinking affect performance and undermine quality of care. The research field, a nursing home, generates indeed costly dysfunctions, causes and consequences of the lack of self-eco-re-organization. The epistemological conditions of institutions appear to be unfavorable to the control and piloting by the Complex Thinking, but they could be counterbalanced by a socio-economic management that articulates the search for short-term results and long-term value creation. |
