| Summary, etc. | Cette lettre apporte des nouvelles de l’actualité de la psychanalyse au Brésil. Elle présente tout d’abord quelques brèves informations sur le Brésil, pays aux dimensions continentales, en mettant en exergue sa diversité culturelle, l’inégalité sociale qui y règne et les traits caractéristiques de son moment actuel. Elle met ensuite en relief quelques éléments de l’histoire du mouvement psychanalytique au Brésil et sur leur rapport avec le fait que la diffusion de la psychanalyse dans ce pays soit une expérience réussie jusqu’aujourd'hui. L’accent y est mis sur la pluralité théorique de la psychanalyse au Brésil, les enjeux courants, la portée de ses contributions tant dans l’approche clinique de la souffrance du Brésilien que dans l’analyse critique de son contexte culturel et la présence active de psychanalystes brésiliens, dans le travail interdisciplinaire, dans divers champs d’action professionnelle : institutions de santé, institutions juridiques, institutions de protection sociale, écoles et Université. Elle aboutit à la conclusion que les nouvelles sur le moment actuel de la psychanalyse au Brésil portent aussi en elles des nouvelles du Brésil actuel vu par la psychanalyse dans l’actualité. |

| Summary, etc. | This letter brings news of the current state of psychoanalysis in Brazil. First of all, it presents a few brief pieces of information on Brazil, a country of continental dimensions, highlighting its cultural diversity, the social inequality that reigns there, and the characteristic features of its current moment in time. Next, it brings out some elements of the history of the psychoanalytical movement in Brazil and their relationship with the fact that the spread of psychoanalysis in the country has so far been a successful experience. The emphasis is placed on the theoretical plurality of psychoanalysis in Brazil, on what is currently at stake, on the scope of its contributions, as much in the clinical approach to suffering in Brazil as in the critical analysis of its cultural context and the active presence of Brazilian psychoanalysts in interdisciplinary work, and in various fields of professional action: in healthcare institutions, legal institutions, institutions of social protection, schools and universities. It comes to the conclusion that the recent news on the current moment of psychoanalysis in Brazil also bears within it news of contemporary Brazil as seen by psychoanalysis. |
