| Summary, etc. | Même si Freud n’a introduit Éros et Thanatos que tardivement (en 1920), il existait déjà des idées précurseuses dans sa théorie et dans ses écrits plus anciens, qui ne sont pas d’ordinaire associées à la pulsion de mort. Le présent article propose un retour aux origines de la théorisation de la pulsion de mort et de la détermination de sa double nature complexe, entrelacée avec l’Éros. La description de la pulsion de mort comme une force qui n’est pas exclusivement destructrice sert à l’auteure de point de départ pour une approximation avec la notion lacanienne de jouissance, ce qui lui permet de penser aux travaux cliniques actuels et à la construction d’une théorie contemporaine. |

| Summary, etc. | Even though Freud did not introduce Eros and Thanatos until 1920, precursory ideas which are not usually associated with the death drive were already present in his older writings. This article proposes a return to the origins of the theory of the death drive and of the determination of its complex double nature, intertwined with Eros. The description of the death drive as a force which is not exclusively destructive serves as a starting point for an approximation with the Lacanian notion of jouissance by the author, which allows her to think of current clinical work and construction of a contemporary theory. |
