Summary, etc. | RésuméDans un premier point on présente de manière générale l’intérêt et les principales critiques de la technique de transfert des valeurs de biens non-marchands. Le second point s’interroge sur la fiabilité de la méthode, que ce soit à partir des fonctions de demande ou des valeurs moyennes à partir d’une revue des principales études disponibles. L’intérêt des méta-analyses est également envisagé. Dans un troisième point, une application est proposée dans une zone périurbaine en recourant à la méthode des coûts de déplacement. Grâce à la similarité des espaces récréatifs et des populations concernées, un tel transfert basé sur des valeurs unitaires ne soulève pas de problèmes de fond. |

Summary, etc. | Environmental benefits transfer for non-market goods valuation : a case studyThis paper discusses in its first part usefulness and critical aspects of the transfer method. The second part deals with the validity issue of transferring point estimates of environmental benefits or complete benefit functions from one site to another according to the method of valuation used through a survey of the main available studies. The use of meta-analysis for benefit transfer is also examined. In the third part a case study based on travel cost approach considering the production of amenities in a peri-urban woodlands is developed. Thanks to the similarity of populations involved and the similarity of the amenities produced, the transfer of unit values does not rise important problems.Classification JEL : Q26. |
