| Summary, etc. | Les stations de montagne en France sont aujourd’hui soumises à de profondes mutations, liées à l’évolution de la clientèle, aux changements climatiques et aux difficultés de management. Face aux incertitudes, l’enjeu est de dépasser une représentation des stations exclusivement centrée sur la filière neige, au profit d’une approche territoriale. Dans la lignée des analyses des districts, les stations sont considérées comme des systèmes touristiques localisés, soulignant le poids des facteurs institutionnels et culturels. En particulier, l’émergence d’une ambiance touristique repose sur la formalisation de proximités entre acteurs, proximité organisationnelle et également proximité cognitive. L’articulation des proximités varie dans le temps et leur nature permet de rendre compte de dysfonctionnements dans l’organisation des stations. Une lecture dynamique met en évidence des chemins, des trajectoires spécifiques pour les stations, porteuses d’opportunités et de rigidités. |

| Summary, etc. | The articulation processes of proximities in touristic territories The case of ski resorts Today French ski resorts are subjected to deep mutations, linked to customers changes, climatic change and management difficulties. In order to cope with these uncertainties, the representation of the ski-resorts can no longer be exclusively centred on the snow product but must take into account a territorial approach. Based on the analyses of districts, ski resorts are perceived as local tourist systems, underlining the weight of institutional and cultural factors in their organisation. In particular, the emergence of a tourism atmosphere is based on the formalization of proximities between actors, organisational proximity and a cognitive proximity too. The articulation of these proximities varies over time and their nature illustrates malfunctions in the organization of ski resorts. This dynamic approach of specific patterns and evolution of the ski resorts, highlights both their opportunities and structural challenges. |
