| Summary, etc. | L’étude de la filière endive, dans la France du Nord, est liée au bassin de production agricole, déclinaison du concept de système productif local, dans le domaine de l’agriculture. Depuis quelques années, la filière connaît d’importants bouleversements (généralisation de l’industrialisation des techniques de production, application de l’OCM légumes-règlement 2200/96, développement de stratégies commerciales fondées sur des réseaux sans base territoriale, affaiblissement de l’organisation économique régionale...), qui engendrent des conséquences sur la structuration des bassins. À cela s’ajoutent des territoires (Parcs naturels régionaux et Intercommunalités) en quête d’affirmation, qui valorisent l’endive comme « produit de terroir ». L’article s’intéresse à la recomposition de la filière endive et à ses incidences territoriales. Les enjeux liés à l’articulation « bassins de production agricole »/ « Parcs naturels régionaux »/ « intercommunalités » y sont analysés. |

| Summary, etc. | Agribusiness and territorial evolution : the Witloof chicory in the North of France Studies on the Witloof Chicory agribusiness in Northern France have focused on production basins, thereby applying the concept of the local productive system to agriculture. In recent years, the sector has undergone some major upheavals (generalisation of the industrialisation of production methods, implementation of the CMO Fresh Fruit and Vegetables regulations 2200/96, development of new marketing strategies based on non-regional networks, etc.) that have affected the structure of production basins. This has been compounded by regional bodies (regional parks and intermunicipal organisations) attempting to make their mark by labelling Witloof Chicory a regional speciality. The present article investigates the effects of these regional considerations on the Chicory Witloof agribusiness and analyses the importance of the interconnections between “production basins”, “regional parks” and “intermunicipal organisations”. |
