| Summary, etc. | Le projet de métro automatique circulaire dans la couronne de l’agglomération parisienne, appelé « Grand Paris Express » (GPE), augmente de façon considérable l’accessibilité interne de la région en créant de nouveaux points de desserte et un maillage avec la majorité des lignes radiales. Actuellement, l’accessibilité aux emplois est inférieure de 36 % dans la proche banlieue Est par rapport à la proche banlieue Ouest. La réalisation du GPE réduit considérablement les écarts d’accessibilité entre Est et Ouest, et plus généralement entre communes de petite couronne. Cependant, dans l’hypothèse où l’arc du proche Est (longtemps laissé en suspens) ne serait pas réalisé, les écarts d’accessibilité deviendraient considérables. |

| Summary, etc. | “Grand Paris Express”: a way to close the job accessibility gap between the East and West suburbs of Paris?The project of circular automatic metro lines through the suburbs ringing central Paris (GPE) will raise the internal accessibility of the region substantially, linking radial lines. Today, job accessibility is 36 % lower in eastern suburbs than in western suburbs. The calculation of accessibility transformation shows that GPE will strongly reduce the gap in job accessibility between western and eastern suburbs. If the GPE is built in the west but not in the east (as it was thought until 2013), the accessibility gap will increase. |
