| Summary, etc. | La Directive Cadre sur l'Eau impose des exigences croissantes sur l'acquisition d'information sur la qualité des milieux aquatiques. Le coût de cette information interroge sur la rationalisation des réseaux de mesure, et donc sur la valeur économique de l'information produite par les réseaux de surveillance. Cet article a pour but de faire avancer cette réflexion. Pour cela, nous avons utilisé le cadre bayésien pour définir la valeur d'une information additionnelle en fonction des paramètres : probabilités a priori sur les états de la nature, coûts liés à une mauvaise décision et précision de l'information additionnelle. Nous avons ensuite analysé l'impact de ces paramètres sur cette valeur, notamment le rôle combiné des probabilités a priori et des coûts d'erreur augmentant ou diminuant la valeur de l'information selon le niveau d'indécision initial. Les résultats ont été illustrés par le cas d'étude d'un ruisseau dans le département du Bas-Rhin en France.Classification JEL : C11, Q53 |

| Summary, etc. | The Water Framework Directive imposes increasing requirements on the acquisition of information about water quality. Because of the cost of this information, the rationalization of the water quality monitoring is crucial, what requires a best knowledge of the value of information generated by the water quality monitoring network. This article aims at taking forward this thought. We used the Bayesian frame to estimate the value of additional information according to the parameters: prior probability on the states of the nature, costs resulting from a bad decision and accuracy of the additional information. Then we analyzed the impact of these parameters on this value, particularly the role of the combination of prior probability and costs from bad decision which can increase or decrease the value of information according to the initial level of indecision. The results were illustrated by an empirical study: a river in the “Bas-Rhin” in France. |
