| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de cette note de recherche est d’étudier les circuits de commercialisation de deux filières (ovins et piment rouge séché) du souk de la petite ville de Jilma au Centre Ouest tunisien. Nous illustrons les transformations et les stratégies d’adaptation du monde agraire aux contraintes locales et à une forte demande sur certains produits de consommation. Le souk hebdomadaire assure la collecte des produits agricoles, leur redistribution et attire des flux de personnes et de biens. |

| Summary, etc. | A Testimony of a Rural Space Transmutation. Jelma, districk of Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia, as a case studyThe present paper sets off to study the paths of retailing of two rural sectors in the souk of Jelma, a small town in central-western Tunisia ; namely cattle farming an dry chilli pepper. We put in focus the transmutations and the agrarian adaptation strategies in the face of local contstraints as well as the growing demand for specific commodities. The souk of Jelma warrants the agrarian goods collection and its distribution. As a matter of fact, it attracts waves of people and goods. |
