Summary, etc. | Cette recherche interroge, à partir des données recueillies dans le cadre de l’ANR INEDUC (Inégalités éducatives et espaces de vie. Construction des parcours de vie des 13-15 ans), les pratiques vidéoludiques adolescentes au prisme du genre. Elle montre que les adolescents conforment leurs pratiques aux attentes sociales de leur sexe et qu’il existe un rapport hiérarchisé entre les sexes ainsi que des pratiques inégalement valorisées selon qu’elles relèvent ou non du genre historique masculin légitime. Enfin, l’analyse montre que l’entrée des filles dans ce territoire ludique masculin est conditionnée socialement et que l’assomption de cette transgression suppose sa dévalorisation. |

Summary, etc. | Based on data collected under the ANR INEDUC programme (“Inequalities in education and living environments. Construction of life trajectories of 13-15-year-olds”), this research examines teenagers’ videogame practices from a gender perspective. It shows that adolescents’ practices correspond to gendered social expectations, and that there is a hierarchical relationship between the sexes, as well as videogame practices that are unequally valued according to whether or not they belong to the historically legitimate male gender or not. Finally, the findings show that girls’ entry into this male playground is socially determined and is accompanied by testimonies devaluing their practices. |
