| Summary, etc. | Aujourd’hui plus de 4 foyers sur 5 disposent d’un compteur communicant Linky et pourtant, la polémique anti-Linky ne faiblit pas avec les prémices d’une judiciarisation des conflits ces dernières années. L’article vise à restituer les modalités de dénonciation et de mobilisation des consommateurs ordinaires et plus précisément de la frange des plus réfractaires d’entre eux. Dans une première partie, nous proposons un modèle d’engagement dans la cause « anti-Linky », de la suspicion à la scandalisation. Nous montrons que les clients procèdent à un travail de politisation en embarquant plusieurs registres de dénonciation (les ondes électriques et leurs effets sur la santé, la fausse promesse de la transition énergétique, les dérives marchandes et les risques de surveillance). L’engagement de ces consommateurs se nourrit de la mutualisation des arguments, permettant l’accusation contre les compteurs pour protéger leurs domiciles vécus comme des espaces intimes, mais aussi ceux des personnes vulnérables. La deuxième partie décrit les étapes de la « mobilisation à domicile » et les stratégies de « solidarité de voisinage ». Elles ont pour but de lutter pragmatiquement contre l’installation du compteur, mais aussi de promouvoir la recherche d’une société non Linky, appuyée par des normes de sobriété numérique, d’anticonsumérisme et d’une vie plus solidaire. |

| Summary, etc. | Although more than 4 out of 5 households today have a Linky smart meter, the anti-Linky controversy has not weakened in the context of a judicialization of the conflicts in recent years. This article reconstructs the methods of denunciation and mobilization of ordinary consumers, and more precisely of the most resistant fringe among them. In the first part, the author proposes a model of engagement in the ‘anti-Linky’ cause, from suspicion to scandal. She shows how customers become involved in politicization in several registers of denunciation (electric waves and their effects on health, the false promise of the energy transition, the commercial abuses and the risks of surveillance). These consumers’ commitment is fostered by the mutualization of arguments, allowing accusations against the meters to protect not only their own homes, seen as intimate spaces, but also those of vulnerable people. The second part describes the stages of ‘home mobilization’ and ‘neighbourhood solidarity’ strategies. They aim to fight pragmatically against the installation of the meter, and to promote the quest for a non-Linky society, supported by norms of digital sobriety, anti-consumerism and a lifestyle based more on solidarity. |
