Summary, etc. | Cette recherche a pour objet de valider, pour la première fois dans le contexte d’une étude empirique en France, une échelle qui mesure la volonté d’avancer appelée également aspirations managériales (Tharenou et Terry, 1994). Cette échelle est un nouvel outil qui mesure l’aspiration managériale définie comme l’étendue de la volonté qu’un individu a, de progresser dans sa carrière et atteindre un poste plus élevé dans la hiérarchie.Basée sur deux échantillons, composés respectivement de 299 et de 304 managers, la présente étude valide la formulation française de l’échelle initialement proposée en anglais, et reproduit aussi de façon satisfaisante les qualités psychométriques de l’échelle d’origine. |

Summary, etc. | This research aims to validate, for the first time in the French context, the Managerial desire Scale (Tharenou and Terry, 1998). This scale is a new tool that measures managerial desires or advancement aspirations defined as the extent of which an individual is willing to acquire a position at the highest level of an organization and move up in the hierarchy. Based on two samples, composed respectively of 299 and 304 managers, this study validates the French formulation of the scale initially proposed in English, and also confirms the satisfactory psychometric properties of the initial scale. |

Summary, etc. | Esta investigación tiene como objetivo validar, por primera vez en el contexto de un estudio empírico en Francia, una escala que mide la voluntad de avanzar, también llamada aspiraciones gerenciales (Tharenou y Terry, 1994). Esta escala es una nueva herramienta que mide la aspiración gerencial, definida como la extensión del deseo de un individuo para avanzar en su carrera y alcanzar una posición más alta en la jerarquía.A partir de dos muestras, compuestas respectivamente por 299 y 304 mandos, este estudio valida la formulación francesa de la escala propuesta inicialmente en inglés, y también reproduce satisfactoriamente las cualidades psicométricas de la escala original. |
