| Summary, etc. | En 2014, les instances marocaines ont adopté de nouveaux textes de gouvernance bancaire axés principalement sur les caractéristiques du conseil d’administration et de ses comités. Notre article analyse, six ans plus tard, ces caractéristiques en référence aux textes règlementaires. L’échantillon comprend les dix principales banques marocaines dont sept banques à actionnariat majoritairement marocain, et trois autres banques avec un actionnariat majoritairement français. Les résultats rapportent une évolution significative des caractéristiques des conseils des banques depuis la publication de ces textes. Toutefois, certains éléments, recommandés par les grands standards internationaux des bonnes pratiques de gouvernance, présentent des disparités notées particulièrement chez les banques à actionnariat majoritairement marocain. |

| Summary, etc. | This article analyzes the characteristics of banks board with reference to the legal and regulatory provisions of bank governance in Morocco. The sample consists of 10 main Moroccan banks including seven banks with majority Moroccan shareholding and three other banks with majority French shareholding. Data is observed at the end of 2020 i.e. 6 years after the introduction of these new regulatory texts. Our results highlight a significant evolution in the characteristics of the boards of these banks. However, some elements which are recommended by the major international standards of good governance practices present disparities. |

| Summary, etc. | En 2014, las autoridades marroquíes adoptaron nuevos textos de gobernanza bancaria centrados principalmente en las características del consejo de administración y sus comités. Este artículo analiza, seis años después, estas características con referencia a estos textos legales y reglamentarios. La muestra incluye los diez principales bancos marroquíes, incluidos siete bancos con participación mayoritaria marroquí y tres bancos con participación mayoritaria francesa. Los resultados reportan un cambio significativo en las características de los consejos directorios bancarios desde la publicación de estos textos. Sin embargo, ciertos elementos, recomendados por los principales estándares internacionales de buenas prácticas de gobierno, presentan disparidades que se observan particularmente entre los bancos con accionistas mayoritarios marroquíes. |
