| Summary, etc. | « Penser l’avenir des acteurs de l’autorité judiciaire pour renouer le lien entre citoyens et justice ». Telle était la problématique du colloque organisé par l’Institut pour la Justice au Sénat, le 3 mars 2014, sur le thème : « Quels juges pour quelle justice ? ». À cette occasion, des personnalités du monde judiciaire, réunissant des policiers, des magistrats et des avocats, des universitaires et des experts, sont intervenus au cours de différentes tables rondes : le désamour des citoyens avec la justice/avec les magistrats, moderniser la formation des magistrats, rapprocher la justice des citoyens, assurer la transparence et la responsabilité. Ce rapport synthétise le bilan qui a été dressé et les propositions qui ont été formulées au cours de cette journée d’étude et de réflexion sur la justice pénale et ses acteurs. |

| Summary, etc. | “Reflecting on the future role of judicial officers in order to reestablish the relationship between citizens and justice” was the focus of the Symposium organized by the Institute for Justice in the Senate on March 3, 2014. The theme of the conference was “What Judges for what Justice?” Presentations from legal experts, including police officers, magistrates, legal practitioners, and academics at various round tables included the following topics: the lack of confidence in the law, justice, and magistrates; the modernization of judicial training; the necessity to bring justice closer to citizens; and transparency and accountability. This report summarizes the conclusions and proposals submitted during the conference on the criminal justice system and its actors. |
