| Summary, etc. | Le terme de « donnée », omniprésent dans les débats sur l’intelligence artificielle, induit une sorte de dimension naturelle au détriment des processus et des acteurs qui lui ont donné naissance et la gouvernent. Les big data et l’intelligence artificielle recherchent une modélisation des comportements sociaux qui se concrétisera, au cours des années 2010, par la théorie du nudge comme convergence entre données, algorithmes apprenants et objectifs politico-sociaux. Le réductionnisme de cette ingénierie sociale croit possible et souhaitable la réification des relations humaines. Ainsi, seule une action externe permettrait de « changer la société » ; la créativité et le pluralisme des acteurs impliqués n’étant pas suffisante. Conception que l’on peut qualifier de dépolitisée voire déshumanisée des rapports sociaux. |

| Summary, etc. | The term “data”, so often coined in the debates on artificial intelligence, appears so natural that we might overlook where it stems from: its processes as much as its stakeholders. During the 2010s, big data and Artificial Intelligence, in their modeling of social behaviors, have paved the way for the “nudge” theory, that is a meeting point of data, learning algorithms and political-social objectives. This social engineering promotes the reification of human relations. According to such a reductionist approach, only external action would make it possible to “change society”; the creativity and pluralism of the used is subsumed. This conception of social relations can be described as depoliticized or even dehumanized. |
