| Summary, etc. | Qu’apporte l’emploi du terme « diaconie » récemment mobilisé en France pour parler des engagements sociaux des chrétiens ? L’auteur montre qu’il permet de lui reconnaître sa valeur théologale. Il renvoie en effet directement à celui qui s’est présenté comme « diakonos », le Christ. Voilà de quoi donc aider les Églises à situer ces engagements non en périphérie de la vie chrétienne, mais en son cœur. L’auteur signale également qu’à l’occasion de « Diaconia 2013 », le terme a été mis en avant conjointement avec celui de fraternité – lui aussi très chargé théologiquement – et avec une manière de décliner « l’option pour les pauvres » en affinité avec les perspectives ouvertes par Joseph Wresinski. |

| Summary, etc. | What has been the substantive theological contribution of the use of the term diaconie (diakonia), recently mobilised in France to speak of the social engagement of Christians? The author demonstrates that this term helps us to recognise the theological value of this engagement. Indeed, the term diaconie establishes a direct link to the one who presented himself as diakonos, Jesus Christ; this in turn helps the Churches to see their social engagement not as something peripheral but rather as part of the heart of the Christian life. The author also points out that, at the occasion of “Diaconia 2013”, this term was highlighted together with that of “fraternity” – also very theologically charged – and linked to a manner of expressing the “option for the poor” in harmony with the perspectives articulated by Joseph Wresinski. |
