| Summary, etc. | Sens de l’histoire, herméneutique biblique et ouverture à la pluralité des convictions marquent la féconde activité de la RETM depuis trois quarts de siècle. Ayant d’abord en charge un concept de nature à double valence et une loi morale supposant une anthropologie normative, la revue et ses rédacteurs, pourvus en outre de références bibliques fractionnées, se sont trouvés confrontés aux revendications de l’expérience et à la montée des sciences humaines. La présente contribution montre en quatre points comment le recours à la Bible dans son texte et dans ses résonances contemporaines a permis de desserrer une doctrine morale parfois trop sûre d’elle, de prendre en compte les attentes des croyants et d’intervenir dans le débat public. |

| Summary, etc. | A sense of history, an interest in biblical hermeneutics, and openness to the plurality of convictions have marked the fruitful activity of the RETM for three quarters of a century. Initially adopting a twofold conception of nature and a view of the moral law presupposing a normative anthropology, in the face of fragmented biblical references the editors of the journal found themselves confronted with the demands of experience and the rise of the human sciences. The present contribution highlights four ways in which the use of the Bible in both its text and in its contemporary resonances has made it possible to moderate a moral doctrine that was sometimes too sure of itself, taking greater account of the expectations of believers and facilitating new involvement in public debates. |
