| Summary, etc. | Le management face à l’urgence confronte l’observateur à une réalité qui cumule plusieurs ambiguïtés. La principale d’entre elles tient à la possible confusion, chez l’agent en situation d’urgence, entre intensification de soi et accomplissement de soi. Quand la première l’emporte, l’action se concentre dans une instantanéité qui risque de compromettre l’estime de soi. Car elle s’extrait de la temporalité orientée entre passé, présent et futur, qui caractérise le moment de l’initiative prise par un sujet qui s’engage dans ce qu’il fait. Cette approche critique doit se prolonger à l’égard du rapport aux autres en contexte d’urgence et, plus largement, au sujet de la temporalité contemporaine qui entretient une humeur de l’urgence. En réponse à la théorie de Hartmut Rosa, cette réflexion suggère des postures susceptibles de ralentir le phénomène d’accélération dans les sociétés de la modernité tardive. |

| Summary, etc. | Observing management faced with emergency is to be confronted with a reality which aggregates several ambiguities. The main one relates to the possibility for the agent in the emergency situation to confuse self-intensification and self-accomplishment. When self-intensification prevails, action focuses on an instantaneity that is at risk of compromising self-esteem. That is because it abstracts from the temporality alining past, present and future, which characterises the moment when an initiative is taken by a subject committed to what he is doing. This critical approach needs to be extended to relationships to others in an emergency context and, at large, to contemporary temporality which maintains a climate of emergency. In response to Hartmut Rosa’s views, this reflection suggests behaviour patterns likely to slow down acceleration in late-modern societies. |
