| Summary, etc. | À partir d’une étude prosopographique des trajectoires professionnelles et politiques des ministres de la Ve République (1986-2018), cet article met en perspective le renouvellement politique marqué par l’élection d’Emmanuel Macron à la présidence de la République. Les ministres du Gouvernement formé en 2017 ont passé globalement moins de temps en politique que leurs prédécesseurs et ont été moins souvent élus. Cependant, il ne s’agit pas de nouveaux venus en politique, car ils ont été plus souvent membres de cabinets ministériels. Les ministres d’Emmanuel Macron apparaissent surtout comme des technocrates d’un nouveau genre, ayant cumulé les expériences au sein de la haute administration et dans le secteur privé. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on a prosopographical study of the professional and political background of the ministers of the French Fifth Republic (1986-2018), this article puts into perspective the political renewal since Emmanuel Macron’s election as President of the Republic. Ministers of the government formed in 2017 spent overall less time in politics than their predecessors and were less often elected. However, they are not newcomers in politics, as they have been more often members of ministerial staffs. Above all, Emmanuel Macron’s ministers appear as a new kind of technocrats, with a mixture of experiences in both high state administration and the private sector. |
